Purpose

The purpose(s) of the Fannin County Republican Women shall be:
1. To increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government through active political participation, seeking out and training qualified women candidates for all elected offices, to the best of our ability and resources.
2. To promote an informed electorate through political education and activity.
3. To promote the principles of the Republican Party and to foster loyalty to the Party at all levels of government and to promote its ideals and candidates, including nonpartisan elections, and appointments to the various local and state boards.
4. To support the objectives and policies of the Fannin County Republican Party and the Georgia Federation of Republican Women.

March is Women's History Month

Fannin County Republican Women is sponsoring a photo-essay contest to celebrate Women's History Month and encourage students to "Get to know the women who have changed our world." Any student enrolled in the Fannin County Middle School is eligible to enter the contest for cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25. Certificates will be awarded to two students for Honorable Mention. Students should address how specific women have influenced their life today or, how women in general have made a difference in their life.

Each entry will be judged by a group of professional women. Award-level entries must be visually pleasing, and should combine written and pictorial content. Entries will be judged on how well students have focused their essay and how well they have addressed three basic criteria: Content, Creativity and Imagination and Writing Technique.
